Our new genuine torch coolants are specially formulated using de-ionized water, and have a resistance value of 0.4 mega ohm/cm or greater to prevent the coolant from carrying an electrical current. If the coolant were to become electrically conductive, a liquid-cooled torch could potentially suffer severe internal damage due to electrolysis. All coolant mixtures are designed to provide customers with cooling mediums and electrical protection specifically for plasma arc cutting or plasma arc welding torches.
