These Screw Extractors are the most useful in removing broken screws, bolts or other threaded items without damage to the threaded hole. A hole is first drilled into the broken part and the extractor is then inserted. By twisting to the left, the extractor will grip into the wall of the hole and the broken part can be backed out without damaging threads.
