LC UTP 6824 electrode is used to bond CrNi similar chemical composition and corrosion resistant heat. The low carbon content of the product ensures a high ferrite content usually greater than 8 FN (ferrite number), and reduces the likelihood of intergranular carbide precipitation. It is also commonly used for joining dissimilar steels such as 304 stainless steel joints to carbon steel or low alloy steel. Also used for coating carbon steel. The weld deposit is resistant to scaling up to 1000 deg C
- UTP 6824 LC has good weldability in all positions except vertical down
- It has stable arc, the deposit is made ??without dripping or undercut
- Bead surface is smooth
- The outstanding characteristic of stainless steels is their ability to readily form a chromium-oxide layer which acts as a constant buffer against further corrosion of the underlying metal
